*WARNING: Don't try this at home!* Ok, so what happens when you stop playing guitar at 27 and you don't revisit it again until you're over 50? Meet John Aulabaugh.
Really...John, at 52, hadn't played a guitar since he was 27. He hadn't sung anything but backing vocals and had never written a song in his life. Then, be it a mid-life crisis or channeling a musical spirit, the fire got lit. He started writing, singing and recording with a vengeance.
Earlier this year, John released his debut album Of Sins Present and Past to the acclaim of industry pros. Featured on the album are some of John's friends and musical heroes from the groups like Norah Jones, Pearl Jam, Wilco and Foo Fighters.
